This course begins officially on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 01:00 PM.

For the May 2021 MSTM program, we'll switch formats slightly. We'll host the MSTM live interactive webinars from 1-5 PM Saturday, May 8, and May 15. Each segment is still 1.75 hours in length, but we'll take a 30-minute break in between sessions to interact with Drs. Kristi and Werner to more closely resemble a retreat experience.

The back-to-back MSTM sessions allow us to create two Saturday afternoon mini-online retreats. We definitely will engage in dialogue to discuss the evidence. Together we'll unpack how mindfulness practice might benefit healthcare professionals in increasing self-care, awareness, compassion, and other focused concerns and how that relates to distress burnout.

However, the focus will also be on the experiential component, which grounds the practice. Dr. Werner will guide you through the experiential activities, giving you a chance to immerse yourself in mindfulness practice.

In combination, these two mini-retreats introduce The Mindfulness Skill Training in Medicine (MSTM) program to clinicians and healthcare professionals who are new or have minimal mindfulness training experience.

For healthcare professionals more experienced in mindfulness training, the MSTM program can help strengthen a practice that has already begun.

Led by Doctors Kristi Artz and Werner Absenger, the live interactive Mindfulness Skill Training in Medicine (MSTM) webinar experience can work within most living situations.

All you need to bring is a commitment to create a distraction-free environment and to engage with the material. Then, together, we'll be able to deepen the understanding of self-care tools you can apply right away to establish and sustain a regular contemplative practice that may enhance your self-care, health, and wellbeing.
